Lime -> Yellow
Those whose Aura falls under this branch tend to become stressed easily. Yellow determines some sort of anxiety, while lime determines possible rudeness and introversion.
The Mood Shift consists in a sudden happiness without any apparent reason.
Yellow -> Orange -> Vermillion
These Auras determine a tendency to be joyous and spontaneous. Not all of those who have this kind of Aura are happy and cheerful all the time though.
The Mood Shift is a sudden apathy or sadness, sometimes insecurity.
Red -> Maroon
Under this category falls the tendency of hot headedness and bluntness. Irresponsibility and recklessness can also be found in those with this kind of Aura.
The Mood Shift makes the person suddenly generous, clingy and loving. Clingy to the point of getting punched in the face for not having the concept of personal space anymore.
Magenta -> Dark Purple
Balance and dreaming. These people are usually calm but also skilled in manipulating others.
The Mood Shift consists in a withdrawal from others and possible, unexplainable depression.
Dark Blue -> Teal
These Auras show the tendency of giving the person a simple mind, with a love for the simple things in life. They're also born leaders, but tend to be judgmental as well.
The Mood Shift can trigger random, violent outbursts of anger.
Cyan -> Aquamarine
These people tend to be naturally calm and stubborn, and are also great workers. They aren't often judgmental and they value love more than others.
The Mood Shift can result in thoughts of worthlessness and strong depression.
Aquamarine -> Green -> Lime
Tendency to be spontaneous and level-headed, but also introversion. These people are caring and know what they want in life.
The Mood Shift consists in a sudden change to a bitchier, angrier self. Rudeness and enviousness towards others are also possible.
Superpowers and Triggers
Superpowers are inner, sleeping powers that every single person is born with. Not everyone finds out what their superpower is, and that's perfectly fine.
Depending on the strength of the Aura, the Superpower will be stronger or weaker, but this also changes depending on the Lows and Peaks their Aura can reach. Superpowers and Aura are directly linked, and to use a Superpower, the Aura is used as energy source. Once the Aura starts to weaken, the Superpower also weakens. If a Low is reached, the power loses most of its energy, if a Peak is reached, the power is at its highest destructive or protective potential.
Superpowers are always divided into two categories, save for the Monocromatics and the Aura Shift / Aura Drain.
Destructive Type - These powers revolve around inflicting damage, destroying materials and anything like this. They include elemental control. Also referred to as Active subtype.
Defensive Type - These powers instead are all about shielding, defending or healing. Mind powers are included in the Defensive type, unless they're for mind-controlling. Also referred to as Passive subtype.
A Superpower doesn’t define one’s alignment. Good or evil, it doesn’t exist with powers: how they’re used, however, defines if one is to be considered a good person or a criminal.
As it's been already said, Superpowers are sleeping within a person. To awaken them, they need to be "triggered". While Tier 7 will always trigger their Superpower in their life (sooner or later, it depends on the individual), lower Tiers will find it harder to trigger it; the lower the Tier, the more difficult it will be.
The trigger can be anything, but most of the time it's an extreme fluctuation in the Aura caused by external elements.
The triggers are also considered Destructive or Defensive, depending on what they are. Desire to protect, strong will to survive or keep someone safe are Defensive-Protective triggers, desire for revenge, self-salvation and traumatic events are usually Destructive triggers.
It is to be said, however, that Destructive Superpowers MAY be triggered by Defensive triggers, and viceversa.
If that's the case, the Superpower will be mainly inclined towards the trigger's type.
For example, if someone awakened a very Destructive power through Defensive triggers, they would mainly use their power as a way to protect themselves or save others. Think flame control and fire-based walls to stop attacks, for instance.
This is also dictated by the personality. A hot-headed person who goes through a Defensive trigger and awakens a destructive power will use their power mainly to protect themselves, but they will still be able to kick ass with it because their personality may cause them to jump into fights head on, therefore developing their power for both offense and defense.
Children who trigger their sleeping power at a very early age (before 14-16 years old) are called Super Children. These children usually undergo extreme emotional or physical stress to trigger their power, otherwise they wouldn't discover it until later ages.
Depending on wether their power is Defensive or Destructive, they can be more or less dangerous.
Super Children are known to have an extremely unstable Aura, therefore their Superpowers are difficult to control unless they receive proper training.
Monochromatic Auras, or Colourless, are the rarest kinds of Auras. They come in a 1 every million people ratio.
These Auras range from pure white to black, and include all the possible shades of grey. Those with the colourless Aura can see other people's Aura without devices.
The reason of this rarity is that these Auras are particularly strong, and can be manipulated by one's self in order to help themselves overcome problems in their life, or to help their mental state and sanity. Sometimes, even to momentarily steal one's superpowers, something that could cause the individual to risk their life.
Monochromatic Auras can be infused with others' Auras, thus becoming temporarily colourful. This can, as a side effect, cause the same Mood Shifts as those who have that kind of Aura.
Depending on the amount of Aura that the monochromatic one has been infused with, this colourless one remains tainted for more or less time, spanning from a few minutes to a few days.
Overexposure to external Auras can cause not only the Mood Shift, but also headaches, nausea, mental instability and panic attacks, outbursts of anger and sometimes it can make a person faint. The effects also change depending by the Stable Level of both individuals. A Low Tier Monochromatic that absorbs a High Tier Aura will most likely feel sick compared to a High Tier Monochromatic.
There are also two special abilities that a Monochromatic is born with. One ability can't co-exist with the other though, so a Monochromatic learns how to use only one of the two, and usually doesn't know of the existence of the other ability.
Aura Drain - It's basically the infusing one's self of someone else's Aura, but completely draining them of theirs, causing them to either lose their mind or die. It's a destructive, horrible ability that one shouldn't ever develop. In fact, it's often kept secret from Monochromatics. This ability can also be used to purify a tainted Aura (which may cause the person to fall apart), but even so, a Monochromatic with the Aura Drain ability cannot, for any reason, use their power unless they've been given special permission by the Heroes.
Aura Shift 1st Level - This ability allows a Monochromatic to change the Aura colour of someone, eventually causing them to have a mental breakdown or very sudden and violent Mood Shifts. This kind of Aura Shifting is frowned upon as well.
Aura Shift 2nd Level - This second level of Aura Shift is most commonly found and much more useful, and it's mostly used for self defense. It's also a variation of the 1st Level. It consists in making the Monochromatic's aura tangible and use it in various ways; for example, the material Aura can be used to create shields to protect someone, or as a weapon of sorts; like a Soul Dragon can do. The most skilled in using the Aura Shift can create bullets, large weapons, sometimes even wings to fly. In some rare occurrences, a strong emotion or motive can trigger the highest level of defensive Aura Shift, which creates a material armor that covers the Monochromatic's body.
Gemstones and Minerals
If used too much, the Aura can be drained out a bit, physically weakening the individual and their Superpower, if they have awakened it. The symptoms of a weak Aura are feeling tired, both mentally and physically, possible nausea and inability of using superpowers and special abilities such as Shifting.
Various gemstones and minerals can be used as Aura holders. Nothing has to be done to the mineral or gem to make them efficient holders, but every person has a special material connected to them which is their connected holder. The individual knows when they are holding their perfect material, as they feel either a tingle in their fingers, or they feel a quick static shock when they touch it.
For example, a person could have as special holders the Tiger's Eye gemstone and Chromium element. Anything containing chromium would serve as an excellent Aura holder for this person, as well as a little tiger's eye gemstone.
The Aura is naturally stored in the mineral, or gemstone, through contact. The body consciously gives off some Aura to the stone, and the object absorbs it, so that the person can reabsorb the stored Aura in times of need.
